A few pics of KO Cosplay as Viper and Gidget as Chun-Li with the cool light-up pads — shout-outs to Afterglow!

And a few unsolicited testimonials people left on the event pageafter they got home, possibly still buzzed:
“Amazing” isn’t the right word to describe tonight’s Mashfest. Easily the best ever.
“I actually bruised my thumb playing Tekken .__. Sweet!”
“I had a fantastic time with my brothers-in-gaming tonight. So much fun was had, especially once the cosplay came into the picture. Those Afterglow pads were pretty awesome!”
“Pretty awesome how I made it tonight. Gonna have to keep it at a 3 drink maximum though.”
Next Mashfest Happy Hour is September 11 — and it’s a special Tekken Tag Tournament 2 release party! If you’re in NYC, hope to see you there!

About Nelson
I was a nerd before being a nerd was cool. My parents was always busy with something so they kept me entertained with video games, TV, movies and magazines. I grew up on that and to this day I still love it. In high school I went though a stage were I tried to hide the things I liked to make new friends. It worked but I was disappointment in myself but then senior year I meet a guy named Rimmy. When I first saw him I thought that he was a total geek and a loser. I did not want to be seen with him cause I felt he would ruin my image. In photo class the teacher put us as partners and after talking with him for a while I realized that we had a lot in common. Long story short, Rimmy made me realize that it is ok to show what you like. The things that you love make you who you are and there is no shame in that. Thanks to Rimmy for giving me the idea for "My Nerd Blog". He moved to California and I lost contact with him but I hope he is doing well. My Nerd Blog is not about glorifying the nerd life style it is about showing what we love cause this is who we are, not who we want to be.
