My Nerd Toys Part 1: Venom, Johny Bravo, Chamander, Wolverine and Chewbacca

I think everyone my age has a box of toys from their childhood that we don’t know what to do with. Most of them hold too much personal value to throw away and are not worth selling. What do we do with them? In most cases, We throw them in a bag or box and completely forget about it until we do some cleaning. In my case, I have about 3 boxes filled with toys that I have no plans on playing with but I also have no plans on getting raid of them. Since I have them in my hands I might as well put them to good use. I figured that I always talk about toys on this blog so why not talk about my own toys on here? Today I am introducing a new segment on this blog called “My Nerd Toys”.

The idea is simple. On Instagram I will post pictures of about 5 different toys every week. Those Instagram photos will be posted on my twitter as well (@NellyPlayz). I will take those Instagram pics and use them in a weekly blog post here. My goal with this segment is to entertain those who get a kick out of seeing retro toys/ collectables. This is also a great way to keep my instagram account active. Now, Let me stop talking about toys and let me show you some.

This is actually a Burger King toy that came out for the movie Pokemon 2000. It comes with a dock that makes his tail light up. Other than that its just a 3D card.

Wolverine Projector figure (1994)
I remember that this was given to me as a gift from my uncle. There is a button on the Toy’s butt which lights up the chest and it shows a picture from the show.

Venom Projector figure (1994)
Same as Wolverine but I do not have the parts to show off its build in projector. I seen this figure on ebay brand new and in box for $35.

Chewbacca Toy from Burger King (2005). I always liked Chewbacca as a character but I felt this toy was too ugly to keep on display.

Chewbacca’s legs can be removed and he can do a spin.

Johny Bravo toy from Subway (2001)

Johny Bravo does nothing special but with super good looks like that what more could you ask for?

Note: Any toy that you see featured on this post can be sold as long as it is in the USA. Prices can be anywhere from $1-$8 depending on the toy and you gotta pay for shipping. I will be sure to give a good cheap price as long as you pay for shipping. Send me a email Nelson@MyNerdBlog.com if you’re interested. Please let me know which toy or toys you would like and I will give you more details and the prices.

About Nelson

I was a nerd before being a nerd was cool. My parents was always busy with something so they kept me entertained with video games, TV, movies and magazines. I grew up on that and to this day I still love it. In high school I went though a stage were I tried to hide the things I liked to make new friends. It worked but I was disappointment in myself but then senior year I meet a guy named Rimmy. When I first saw him I thought that he was a total geek and a loser. I did not want to be seen with him cause I felt he would ruin my image. In photo class the teacher put us as partners and after talking with him for a while I realized that we had a lot in common. Long story short, Rimmy made me realize that it is ok to show what you like. The things that you love make you who you are and there is no shame in that. Thanks to Rimmy for giving me the idea for "My Nerd Blog". He moved to California and I lost contact with him but I hope he is doing well. My Nerd Blog is not about glorifying the nerd life style it is about showing what we love cause this is who we are, not who we want to be.
