Free Comic Book Day @ Midtown Comics. May 5th

ImageI heard about Free Comic Book Day for years but never went to it cause I was too lazy to get up in the morning and I had no friends who was interested in going with me. That all changed since I started my nerd blog cause I now have motivation to go to events like this and do meetups. I am excited to say that on May 5th I will be at Midtown Comics (Times Square location) for Free Comic Book Day. This is something that will take place all over but I will be at Midtown Comics cause they got some exclusives and its the easiest for me to get to. I will be there with a couple of videos and recording video for my blogs but if you guys see me feel free to say whats up. Maybe even come out in 1 of my videos. It will be fun.

Midtown Comics celebrates Free Comic Book Day, on Saturday, May 5th, by offering free new comics including every title from every publisher participating in this event. Some of the hottest titles from Marvel Comics, DC Comics, Dark Horse and Image Comics will be available with no purchase required, in-store and online while supplies last. Over two million comic books for readers of all ages will be given away by participating stores, introducing as many people as possible to the excitement of comic books! Check out all the details for what we think is the best day of the year!What’s special only at Midtown: This year we are thrilled to present our very own versions of the Free Comic Book Day Spider-Man Season One from Marvel Comics and DC Comics The New 52 #1 from DC! Both feature the Midtown Comics logo and are ONLY available through Midtown Comics! I was a nerd before being a nerd was cool. My parents was always busy with something so they kept me entertained with video games, TV, movies and magazines. I grew up on that and to this day I still love it. In high school I went though a stage were I tried to hide the things I liked to make new friends. It worked but I was disappointment in myself but then senior year I meet a guy named Rimmy. When I first saw him I thought that he was a total geek and a loser. I did not want to be seen with him cause I felt he would ruin my image. In photo class the teacher put us as partners and after talking with him for a while I realized that we had a lot in common. Long story short, Rimmy made me realize that it is ok to show what you like. The things that you love make you who you are and there is no shame in that. Thanks to Rimmy for giving me the idea for "My Nerd Blog". He moved to California and I lost contact with him but I hope he is doing well. My Nerd Blog is not about glorifying the nerd life style it is about showing what we love cause this is who we are, not who we want to be.
